Scott M. Hoffman, DPM is a surgical podiatrist specializing in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and pathology below the knee. He completed residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and a fellowship with American Health Network in Carmel, where he continued to work for over a decade. He joined MCJR in 2026.

Scott M. Hoffman, DPM is a board-certified foot & ankle surgeon at Midwest Center for Joint Replacement (MCJR), serving patients in Avon. Dr. Hoffman specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, surgical correction of bunion deformity, ankle replacement surgery, sports medicine, and pediatric foot problems.

Hoffman received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois, then completed medical school at Des Moines University, ranked 2nd in his class. Hoffman completed residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. He moved to the Indianapolis area in 2014, where he completed a Foot & Ankle Reconstruction Fellowship with American Health Network, then stayed on as a partner physician until joining MCJR in 2026.

A devoted runner, Hoffman has a special interest in treating athletes for lower extremity injuries including shin splints, orthopedic management issues, and plantar fasciitis. He also has extensive training in pediatric flatfoot surgery and enjoys treating pediatric patients.

Outside of the OR, Hoffman keeps busy at home, raising 5 children alongside his wife, who is also a foot & ankle surgeon. He spends a lot of time at the Carmel Swim Club with his kids, and is often training for local road races. He plays guitar and enjoys attending concerts with his wife. If you’re a runner, you may spot him volunteering at a local race or doing injury screenings around town.
